Data Technology Consultant (AI Consultant)
We are seeking a Data Technology Consultant (AI Consultant) to act as a strategic authority and advisor to EPAM clients and internal teams. In this senior role, you will identify, conceptualize and deliver cutting-edge AI solutions for life sciences and pharma clients while shaping enterprise architecture decisions and driving stakeholder engagement at the highest levels. Responsibilities Identify, conceptualize and promote AI solutions to clients in collaboration with relevant EPAM SMEs Architect complex AI systems such as agentic, RAG, ML pipelines and LLMs as well as classical AI/ML solutions for life sciences and pharma clients Lead enterprise architecture decisions across AI, data and platform layers Drive senior stakeholder engagement with IT leadership, C-suite and scientific leaders Own change management for AI adoption within regulated Life Sciences environments Shape account growth through contributions to RFPs, proposals and commercial opportunities Mentor junior consultants Contribute to thought leadership content Requirements 18 to 23 years of experience in IT 15+ years in data science, ML or AI engineering with recent hands-on delivery essential Proven ability to code, build and ship production AI solutions Expertise in Agentic AI and multi-agent system design and deployment Proficiency in LLM fine-tuning, prompt engineering and RAG architectures Competency in MLOps, AIOps and production-grade ML systems at scale Skills in enterprise architecture across AI, data and platform layers Knowledge of AI security, governance, explainability and regulatory compliance Capability to perform business process mapping for agentic AI design Strong communication skills spanning internal and external stakeholders at varying levels of seniority from boardroom to deep technical audiences Track record of independently owning senior client relationships Strong business case, ROI articulation and strategy formulation experience Proven track record of contributing to white papers, blogs and other thought leadership content Capability to work autonomously while being a team player who can build relationships and drive outcomes independently but in conjunction with the wider team Nice to have Understanding of GxP, 21 CFR Part 11 and FDA AI/ML guidance Familiarity with IT functions within the pharmaceutical industry, pharma platforms and clinical workflows Experience with regulated or validated AI systems Experience working within one or more pharma functions such as research, clinical and commercial
