The Deal Advisor serves as a trusted resource for agents, supporting successful real estate transactions and fostering professional growth. This role combines expertise in transaction management, contract review, agent coaching, and training, with a commitment to responsive service and collaborative problem-solving. The Deal Advisor ensures agents have the guidance and tools needed to navigate complex transactions, comply with legal requirements, and build their business.
Key Responsibilities
- Approve all documents in Transaction Manager for assigned territory, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company standards and state regulations.
- Review and sign listing agreements and disclosures, ensuring compliance with company and regulatory standards.
- Review and authorize form modifications as needed for transactions.
- Request and manage contract changes, communicating clearly with agents to resolve discrepancies and facilitate timely corrections.
- Respond to agent inquiries on transactions, contracts, and representation through email, phone, and/or virtual meetings.
- Address agency questions and provide guidance on disclosure requirements to agents.
- Track and document all agent interactions using the company-provided systems, maintaining records of topics discussed, dates, and agent names to support ongoing service and improvement.
- Conduct in-person and virtual training sessions on transaction processes, local contract management, common errors and issues, coaching, adapting content to meet agent needs.
- Provide strategic guidance on commission and fee discussions, including coaching agents on objection handling during commission negotiations for listings. (Note: This does not include discussions about an agent’s commission split with the company, which remains the responsibility of the Branch Leader.)
- Present content and field Q&A at sales meetings to support agent understanding and engagement.
- Collaborate with sales leadership and peers to share best practices, support agent success, promote Deal Advisor, and contribute to a positive, inclusive workplace culture.
Skills and Qualifications
- Active Broker’s license in the state of service required.
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience in residential real estate transactions, with strong knowledge of real estate laws, contracts, and procedures required.
- Ability to multi-task on a daily basis, transitioning between responsibilities.
- Exceptional communication skills—able to explain complex concepts clearly, listen actively, and build trust with agents and colleagues.
- Strong organizational abilities, with attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accurate records.
- Collaborative mindset, open to feedback and eager to share knowledge and learn from others.
- Self-motivated and adaptable, comfortable with emerging technology and new approaches to business growth.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and internet platforms.
