Demi Chef
Join Cliveden Dining as a Demi Chef and play a vital role in supporting kitchen operations by preparing and presenting high-quality dishes with creativity and flair. Assist senior chefs in menu preparation, stock control, and maintaining cleanliness, while upholding the highest food hygiene and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and present menu items consistent with hotel standards and cost margins
Assist with stock rotation, ordering, and minimising food wastage
Maintain a clean, tidy, and safe kitchen environment
Support senior chefs with daily kitchen and event operations
Train and support junior kitchen staff as needed
Follow health, safety, and food hygiene policies strictly
Qualifications
Requirements:
Trade qualification in commercial cookery or equivalent
Previous experience as a Demi Chef or Commis Chef in a busy kitchen
Strong teamwork, communication, and multitasking skills
Flexibility to work varied shifts including mornings, evenings, weekends, and public holidays
Full legal work rights to work in Australia to be considered for this role
