Dental Assistant

About the Position: This position is with Defense Health Agency, Dental Clinic, in Fort Benning, Georgia. Work is performed in an office environment from 0730-1630 Monday through Friday. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation

Assist dentist with simple and complex procedures such as tooth removal, surgical removal of impacted teeth, or excisional biopsies.

Set up instruments, equipment, and materials such as assembling syringes and IVs for anesthesia, mixing materials for impressions and restorations.

Participate in stand-up dentistry or four handed sit-down dentistry procedures.

Adhere to aseptic precautions throughout treatment or procedures.

Monitor patient throughout treatment or procedures for adverse reactions.

Educate patient on oral hygiene or post treatment care.

Perform dental radiographic work.
