Dental Clinical Support Internship

This internship offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in Operational Support, Planning Analytics, and Service Performance Management within Align Technology. The intern will support the monitoring and analysis of critical support processes, contributing to cycle time reduction, SLA compliance, and resource optimization across Clinical and Treat Support teams. You will work closely with Support teams, Sr. Clinical, Clinical Specialists, Quality Management, and cross-functional stakeholders, the intern will contribute to the development of dashboards, automation of reports, and data-driven insights that enhance visibility and decision-making. This role is ideal for an advanced student seeking to strengthen analytical, technical, and communication skills while gaining exposure to a fast-paced, performance-driven, and collaborative environment.

In this internship, typically you will…

Assistance Now Platform Monitoring

  • Map and track open or pending inquiries that exceed expected response times.
  • Generate periodic reports to identify delays and propose actions to improve response time.
  • Contribute to reducing inquiry cycle time and maintaining company lead time targets.

MES Pool Management (Treat Support)

  • Map weekly Treat Support users across Mini Hubs according to the established schedule.
  • Implement weekly controls to visualize resource allocation and identify bottlenecks.
  • Support initiatives to reduce Treat Support time and ensure lead time compliance.

Workflow

  • Collect, clean, and analyze operational data related to demand, capacity, volumes, and performance metrics.
  • Develop recurring and ad-hoc reports to support operational and planning decisions.
  • Support Sr. Clinical and Clinical Specialists in monitoring SLA tickets to prevent expirations.
  • Establish preventive alerts and tracking reports to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Contribute to strengthening service reliability and SLA adherence.


In this internship, typically you’ll need…
  • Active university student in orthodontics, dentistry or related fields, preferably at least 80% advanced in the program.
  • Interest in learning how clinical and support processes operate, including basic follow‑up of cases, priorities, and response times.
  • Ability to review and analyze basic information to support the identification of improvement opportunities, with guidance from the team.
  • Good organizational skills and sense of responsibility when handling information and following up on clinical cases, with attention to detail and quality.
  • Willingness to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, interacting with Clinical, Support, and Quality areas in a professional environment.
  • Clear communication skills to report findings and escalate risks when necessary.
  • Proactive, structured, and solution-oriented mindset.
  • Intermediate–advanced English (written and verbal).
  • Availability to allocate 24+ hours per week to the internship.
