Dental Receptionist II
POSITION SUMMARY:
Dental Receptionist II is the lead supervisor for the front office. The Dental Receptionist II is responsible for maintaining the front office duties, processing dental referrals, managing patient schedules and appointments, and addressing patient concerns and issues. The dental receptionist II also serves as a dental receptionist and is expected to perform all receptionist duties such as: answering phones, checking patients in and out, confirming insurance eligibility, making sure all consent forms are signed and updated, creating patient charts, scanning/photocopying required documents, providing great customer service, building good patient rapport, collecting copayment and coinsurance, and processing referrals.

- Customer service: acknowledge, smile and greet patients upon arrival/ discharge
- Collect insurance information and verify insurance information
- Register patients and get patient charts on sign in sheet
- Respond to patient questions and or concerns according to office Policies
- Answer telephones
- Maintain appointment books
- Confirm appointments
- Follow up on no shows and appointments cancellations
- Chart filing, scanning and updates
- Cash Handling/daily bookkeeping
- Check and respond to voicemails, faxes, emails and portal messages
- Maintain a clean and friendly environment for providers and patients
- Stock front office supplies and notify necessary personnel to order low inventory
- Pull and provide dental records as requested per policies
- Opening duties: unlocking doors, turning on all computers and lights, logging into Dental Software.
- Closing duties: making sure all charts are scanned, separate charts with pending referrals that need to be submitted, lock all computers, turn off lights, set alarm, and lock doors.
- Report any non-compliant issues to Office Manager
- Assist in maintaining proper patient treatment records. Lead, inspire and motivate staff
- Assist in training when requested
- Assist in monitoring scheduling, training and production
- Processing dental referrals and addressing patient grievance and concerns.
- Training new receptionist and new employee as directed.
- Other duties as requested by management
