We are seeking a Dentist – Prosthodontic Coordinator to provide advanced prosthodontic care while leading the standardization of prosthodontic workflows across the dental team.

Compensation & Benefits:

    • Compensation salary: $280,000 - $350,000 based on years of experience.

    Schedule & Work-Life Balance

    • Four 10-hour shifts per week with one scheduled weekday off and no call.

    • Travel to regional clinics up to 8 times annually

    Practice Details:

    • Clinic facilities: 10 private operatories and 2 open operatories, 2 dental assistants per provider, 3D printing capabilities, CBCT imaging, digital X-ray, and CEREC mill and PrimeScan.

    • Patient volume: 9–12 patients per day. EMR includes Dentrix.

    • Common Procedures: Dentures, partials, crowns, and bridges.

    Position Overview:

    • Provide advanced prosthodontic care

    • Serve as a clinical leader for prosthodontic best practices across the dental team

    • Help standardize workflows, training, and CME for general dentists

    • Balance clinical care with program development responsibilities

    Qualifications:

    • New graduates welcome to apply
    • DDS or DMD from an accredited program
    • Completion of a prosthodontic residency
    • Active dental license (or ability to obtain Alaska licensure)
    • BLS certification

    Key Essential Functions and Accountabilities of the Job

    • Provides dental services as needed and requested by the Director of Dental Services

    • Plans, implements, and operates a Prosthodontics Program at SEARHC

      • Assesses program-wide prosthodontics needs, types of procedures to offer (C&B, CD, RPD, implants), and equipment and materials needed at all clinics.

      • Evaluates business opportunities: cost to provide care vs. fees and demand; evaluates fee schedule.

      • Recruits and hires Prosthodontist or establishes contract(s) with Intermittent Prosthodontist(s) to cover business needs.

      • Develops master plan/schedule for Prosthodontics services in villages.

    • Ensures that the partially edentulous, high caries risk patients receiving prosthodontic services are followed for preventative services according to high-risk protocol.

    • Evaluates grant opportunities, fee schedule, village travels, new equipment – CAD/CAM Machines, labs, supplies, volunteer clinics, resident rotations, and recruitment.

    • Sets up and coordinates prosthodontic field trip schedule.

    • Provides services to the remote communities as needed.

    • Performs additional duties assigned by Director of Dental Services or other proper authority.

    Other Functions

    • Is responsible for operating (but not labor) budget for the prosthodontics program.

    Supervisory Responsibilities

    • Supervises all intermittent and volunteer prosthodontists who work for the consortium.
