Role Summary

The Deployment Specialist is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing the successful deployment of systems, software, or technical solutions for internal teams and external customers. This role ensures deployments are smooth, reliable, and aligned with business and customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute deployments of software, systems, or technical solutions across environments
  • Coordinate deployment timelines with internal stakeholders, vendors, and customers
  • Prepare deployment documentation, checklists, and rollback plans
  • Configure systems, migrate data, and validate functionality post‑deployment
  • Identify and resolve deployment issues, escalating when needed
  • Ensure deployments follow change management, security, and compliance standards
  • Provide deployment support during go‑live and stabilization phases
  • Train users or hand off solutions to support teams as needed
  • Maintain accurate deployment records and status reporting
  • Continuously improve deployment processes and tools

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • Experience with software or systems deployments in production environments
  • Strong understanding of deployment methodologies and release management
  • Familiarity with operating systems, networks, and cloud environments
  • Ability to troubleshoot technical issues under time pressure
  • Strong coordination and communication skills
  • Experience working with cross‑functional teams
  • High attention to detail and documentation skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Experience with ITIL or change‑management frameworks
  • Customer‑facing deployment or implementation experience
  • Scripting or configuration experience (e.g., PowerShell, Bash)
