Deputy Director/Senior Assistant Director/Assistant Director, School of ATS – Collaboration

[What you will be working on]

The Deputy Director (DD)/Senior Assistant Director (SAD)/Assistant Director (AD), School of ATS – Collaboration ("SATS-C"), is responsible to the Head of SATS to:

  • Develop a strategic plan for SATS, including but not limited to identifying training needs, target audience, training policies, marketing plans and targets.

  • Design and implement the approach to the operations of SATS as well as governance of and good school practices.

  • Conceptualise courses and formulate curriculums, syllabus and structured programs to fulfil training needs of target international audience.

  • Identify and respond to opportunities to actively promote SATS; foster and develop relationships with internal stakeholders like ATS and regional and international partners.

  • Build and maintain strong rapport with international aviation community including ICAO to keep abreast with latest training trends and development.

  • Be accountable for degree of international participation in SATS courses.

  • Work collaboratively at both strategic and operational levels with all relevant stakeholders to ensure smooth running of SATS.

  • Regularly review and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and instructors to drive excellence; make improvements wherever necessary.

  • Recommend capital projects and other purchases essential to the running and continued improvement of SATS.

  • Ensure the sufficiency and effective deployment of staff and resources within SATS.

[What we are looking for]

  • Proven track records in driving transformation and strategic projects in an organisation / academy / institution of higher learning, or similar capacity.

  • Experience working with international partners.

  • Technical knowledge in civil aviation would be an added advantage.

  • Versatile self-starter with strong leadership qualities, particularly in developing a high performing and engagement culture, and cross-functional management skills.

  • Strong strategic mindset, analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication, and presentation skills.

Note: Your appointment designation will commensurate with your relevant work experience. Successful candidates will be offered a 3-year contract in the first instance, and may be considered for placement on a permanent tenure or subsequent contract renewal.
