Deputy Head of A&H
Lead commercial P&L of Accidental & Health portfolio in Thailand to achieve strategic growth, sustainable profitability, and operational excellence while ensuring compliance through strong relationship with partners externally and internally, evolving product development, and portfolio management.
Overseeing the operational and management across 4 teams; Direct Marketing, Product Development, A&H Product Implementation and Process Improvement and Customer Loyalty, while having dotted line from Conservation team.
Direct Marketing
- Develop and execute strategies for growth and profitability across Direct Marketing portfolios including introducing alternative distribution channel to optimize and go deep with partner’s relationship
- Achieve financial targets, including New Premium Written (NPW), Gross Written Premium (GWP), Combined Ratio, Loss Ratio, Acquisition Ratio, and Pre-tax Operating Income (PTOI)
- Oversee portfolio management and underwriting and rate reviews in collaboration with underwriter and actuarial teams
- Explore opportunities alongside with Business Development on new business and lead the exploration of Go Deep’s Strategies to maximize and tightening existing partner’s relationship
- Oversee innovation and future of multi distribution channels both offline: Telemarketing, Face-to-Face, Bancassurance, and Digital, and initiatives related to Direct Marketing alongside the Distribution team to seek new frontier.
- Drive effective partnership management to orchestrate internal parties and partners for mutually long-term wins
- Work closely with APAC Head of Direct Marketing and Global Direct Marketing team to remain focus and continue to deliver a great outcome.
A&H Product
- Oversee Product Development team which consist of Product Ideation and Market Research, Product Development, and Product Rating and Filing
- Responsible to drive initiative on Product Development for Accidental & Health, Travel, and Group Business to stay on top of the market and relevancy to partner’s customer profiles.
- Ability to drive hybrid product ideation across to other Line of Business including Personal Lines to uniquely enhance Chubb’s products proposition
- Work closely with Underwriter team to understand Loss Ratio and its rationale to continue enhancing products for sustainable profitability balancing Loss Ratio and market’s demand
- Manage relationship with OIC on product submission and filing to stay close to regulator requirement, new market conducts and changes if any
- Ensure all products are active and renewed under OIC’s guidelines within timely manner
A&H Product Implementation and Process Improvement
- Oversee Product Implementation team to ensure all product set up in accordance to approved wording and rating guidelines
- Manage Value-Added-Service Team to explore services aiming to enhance product proposition, driving leads generation, and improving sales efficiency
- Lead A&H Process Improvement team to enhance and optimize billing, product set up, and product delivery in alignment with operation team
Customer Loyalty and Conservation
- Responsible to drive better persistency through customer loyalty campaign and conservation strategy
- Work closely with Data Analytics and Conservation teams to understand impact and approach to improve lapse rate for TARP business
People Management
- Build and develop high-performing teams and functional leaders
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with regional, country, and functional leadership
- Provide tools, infrastructure, and actionable management information to support business governance and decision-making.
- Strategic leadership and vision-setting
- Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills with experienced management of complex organization and multi-key stakeholders both internally (local and international), and externally
- Proficiency in project management and business transformation
- Strong analytical and quantitative abilities with P&L management background
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing skills
- Deep understanding of market segmentation, portfolio management, and distribution
- Minimum 5 years of insurance leadership experience, including full P&L responsibility
- Deep expertise in Direct Marketing and Product development
- Experience in the Thailand insurance market, especially with supplemental health products, is preferred
- Demonstrated experience in managing digital and traditional distribution channels
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Finance, Insurance, or a related field.
- Advanced certifications in insurance or risk management are an advantage.
- Proven track record of strategic leadership and delivering business results.
