Deputy M&E Director (Data Center)
Job Responsibilities
• Lead one or more Data Center (DC) projects, ensuring smooth execution of all M&E works.
• Lead and support new DC project tenders in Singapore and provide remote support for Malaysia tenders as required.
• Supervise, guide and mentor M&E Managers, Coordinators and the site team to achieve project targets.
• Manage and coordinate design consultants, client-appointed vendors, specialist contractors and strategic partners.
• Oversee M&E planning, scheduling, installation progress, procurement strategy and contract administration.
• Identify design gaps, technical risks and site constraints, and implement effective engineering solutions. • Provide technical support for new builds, fit-out works.
• Maintain strong and professional relationships with clients, developers, QPs, authorities, subcontractors and suppliers.
• Ensure M&E installations meet project specifications, authority regulations, safety standards and quality expectations.
• Promote DFMA, modular/prefabricated MEP, productivity improvement measures and safe installation practices.
• Monitor manpower deployment, procurement progress, inspections, testing and commissioning milestones.
• Administer contracts, manage variations, evaluate quotations and ensure both commercial and technical compliance.
• Identify potential risks relating to design, sequencing, resources, materials or schedule, and drive mitigation measures.
• Maintain proper technical documentation, submissions, handover records and support troubleshooting, rectification.
Job Requirements
• Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from recognized university.
• At least 10 years of relevant MEP work experience with A1 Main Contractor.
• Have gone through 3 to 4 full cycles of complex commercial building projects, preferably with at least 1 full cycle in Data Center project.
• Possess relevant experience in M&E project management, preferably within data center or mission critical infrastructure projects.
• Possess relevant experience in tendering and evaluation experience for new projects.
• Strong project management skills, stakeholders' management skills, analytical and problem solving skills.
