Deputy Manager - Ecommerce

  • End-to-End Business Ownership
  • Own full P&L responsibility for assigned marketplace accounts.
  • Deliver revenue, contribution margin, and growth targets aligned with annual operating plans.
  • Build scalable and sustainable growth frameworks for the ecommerce channel.
  • Strategic Growth & Joint Business Planning
  • Develop and lead Annual Operating Plans and Joint Business Plans (JBP) with platform partners.
  • Identify and activate structural growth levers including assortment strategy, pricing architecture, paid visibility, and demand generation.
  • Lead planning and execution of marquee sale events (BBD, GIF, Prime Day, EOSS, etc.).
  • Drive share gain within category through improved discoverability and conversion excellence.
  • Senior Stakeholder Management
  • Build strong working relationships with Category Heads and senior leadership
  • Lead commercial negotiations covering trade terms, funding, and strategic investments.
  • Represent ecommerce business in internal leadership reviews and strategic forums.
  • Commercial & Promotional Governance
  • Architect promotional calendar balancing growth acceleration and profitability discipline.
  • Optimize discount structures, trade spends, and advertising ROI.
  • Conduct post-event performance analysis to improve future interventions

  • Operational/Supply Chain Alignment & Financial Reconciliation
  • Ensure optimal inventory health, forecasting accuracy, and in-stock performance.
  • Collaborate closely with supply chain to minimize lost sales and excess inventory.
  • Monitor returns, ratings, and customer experience metrics to protect brand equity.

  • 8–12+ years of progressive experience in Ecommerce, Marketplace Management, or Strategic Key Account roles.
  • Proven track record of independently managing large-scale ecommerce businesses with full P&L accountability.
  • Deep understanding of marketplace ecosystems, commercial frameworks, and scalable growth strategies.
  • Exposure to Flipkart marketplace operations and leadership engagement is a strong advantage.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive strategic joint business planning.
  • Strong commercial judgment with advanced negotiation and trade optimization capabilities.
  • Highly analytical mindset with expertise in Excel, business modelling, and performance analytics.
