Design Evangelist
As a Design Evangelist, you will:
- Create and deliver design-focused presentations for developer audiences
- Lead one-on-one UI design consultations with 3rd-party developers
- Manage the creation of WWDC sessions influencing content structure, wording, slide design, and delivery
- Help judge the Apple Design Awards
- Provide detailed feedback on the Human Interfaces Guidelines
- Build and maintain UI kits for iOS, iPadOS, macOS, tvOS, visionOS, watchOS, and key technologies for Figma and Sketch
- Ensure templates, components, and assets are accurate, properly built, and well organized
- Collaborate closely with design tool makers to align on best practices for resource creation and delivery
- Partner with international colleagues to assure resources fully serve worldwide developer needs
Minimum Qualifications
5–8 years of experience in product design, systems design, or related disciplines
Outstanding written and verbal communication, public speaking and presentation skills
Excellent collaborative and creative problem-solving skills
Ability to forecast schedule, communicate status, prioritize tasks, and meet tight deadlines
Strong knowledge of Apple’s Human Interface Guidelines and platform components, principles and conventions
Experience maintaining large-scale design systems or shared resource libraries
High proficiency with design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Illustrator, and Photoshop
Exceptional attention to detail with a strong understanding of layout, color, and typography
Excellent communication and collaboration skills with cross-functional teams
Experience using latest tools and techniques for automating tasks and quality control
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in a variety of industry verticals like health & fitness, education, medical, finance, news, etc. is helpful
Direct experience using Apple SDKs and tools such as SwiftUI, UIKit, AppKit, Xcode, Icon Composer
Familiarity with accessibility concepts and best practices
Passion for Apple’s design philosophy and commitment to exceptional user experiences
Motivated, proactive, outgoing, and comfortable working in a loosely structured organization
Bachelor’s degree in Interaction Design, UX/UI Design, Human-Centered Design, Visual Communication Design, or equivalent experience.
