Developer Relations Engineer

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $161,150 - $198,000 + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits determined by role, level, and location. Position reports to the Google Kirkland, WA office & may allow for a hybrid schedule per Google policy.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage product engagement and identify critical user needs
  • Attend or facilitate key industry conferences and events to gain and share user experience and technology insights
  • Lead strategic developer programs and act as a recognized subject matter authority in the domain
  • Contribute constructive input and feedback on new products or programs, representing partner interests effectively
  • Organize and maintain clear lines of communication with internal stakeholders to align on strategic objectives. Develop and implement program strategies to maximize product adoption and enhance the overall developer ecosystem

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Marketing, Technical Communication, Business Strategy, or a related and 3 years of experience in the job offered or in a Developer Relations Engineering-related occupation.
  • Alternatively, will accept a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Marketing, Technical Communication, Business Strategy, or a related field, and 1 year of experience in the job offered or in a Developer Relations Engineering-related occupation.
  • Position requires 1 year of experience in the following: Identifying and triaging technical issues or leveraging debugging tools to isolate the source of technical problems. Developing an understanding of technological areas aligned with domain expertise or applying research skill-set to keep up with current or future technology trends. Communicating complex technical concepts to enable users to successfully engage with the subject technology. Understanding and anticipating user, customer, or audience goals and needs or prioritizing their perspective when tailoring solutions.
