A role you will love
This role will work within an Agile environment to develop and support applications across the Computershare portfolio. This role will lead moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within technical domain. This role will work within cross-functional teams, this role requires strong technical skills, curiosity, a passion for delivering quality solutions and the drive to continually improve the quality and speed with which we deliver value to the business. This role will resolve moderately complex issues and lead a team to meet existing client needs and/or potential clients needs while leveraging solid understanding of function, policies, procedures or compliance requirements.
Some of your key responsibilities will include:
- Lead a DevOps team of ~7 members, driving both strategic and hands-on execution.
- Define and execute enterprise DevOps vision aligned with business goals.
- Design, implement, and optimize CI/CD pipelines for reliability and efficiency.
- Enhance developer productivity through automation, tools, and AI-driven capabilities.
- Establish DevOps standards, governance, and best practices across teams.
- Lead transformation initiatives and promote DevOps culture adoption.
- Manage platforms including BI, BPM, and MS Dynamics with third-party integrations.
- Ensure solution quality with focus on security, scalability, and resilience.
- Collaborate with engineering, product, security, and architecture teams to deliver outcomes.
- Mentor team members, manage resources, and support hiring and talent development.
What will you bring to the role?
- 12-14+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, MS in Computer Science or Equivalent Engineering Degree.
- 2+ years of people management experience
- 2+ years of experience with responsibility for technology strategy, execution, and application support
- 5+ years of experience with Java application design and development
- 5+ years of experience as a solution architect or tech lead or team lead
- 2+ years of experience with agile transformation
- Proven experience in software engineering
- Transformative mindset with understanding of application integration, microservices and resiliency design principles
- Proven experience architecting and building large scale distributed systems
- Experienced in building product road maps and technology target state architecture
- Experience in providing strategic direction, roadmap and vision to product teams
- Proven experience utilizing SDLC tools such as Git, ADO, Jira, etc
- Experienced in public, private or hybrid cloud migration such as Azure or OpenShift
- Strong understanding of Agile engineering practices
- Knowledge and understanding of application lifecycle, from design and development to testing, implementation and production support
- Domain expertise in Financial Technology Services
