DevOps Engineer
Overview
ResponsibilitiesDesign, build, and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines that support rapid, reliable software deliveryArchitect and manage cloud infrastructure (AWS, etc) using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, etc.)Own container orchestration platforms - deploying, scaling, and troubleshooting Kubernetes clustersImplement and maintain observability stacks - logging, metrics, and alerting (Datadog, Prometheus/Grafana, ELK, or similar)Drive security best practices across infrastructure - secrets management, IAM policies, vulnerability scanning, and complianceLead incident response efforts, conduct postmortems, and implement systemic improvementsCollaborate with development teams to optimize application performance, deployment frequency, and mean time to recovery (MTTR)Mentor junior engineers and contribute to internal DevOps standards and documentationEvaluate and introduce new tooling to improve engineering productivityRequired Qualifications3–5 years of hands-on DevOps, SRE, or infrastructure engineering experienceStrong proficiency with Linux/Unix systems administrationDeep experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS strongly preferred)Production-level experience with Kubernetes and DockerSolid Infrastructure as Code experience (Terraform preferred)Proficiency in scripting and automation (Python, Bash, or Go)Experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines at scaleStrong understanding of networking (DNS, load balancing, VPNs, firewalls, CDNs)Nice to HaveExperience with service mesh technologiesFamiliarity with GitOps workflows Multi-cloud or hybrid cloud experienceExperience with database operations (backups, replication, performance tuning)Relevant certifications (AWS Solutions Architect, CKA, HashiCorp Terraform Associate)Background in software development or SRE practicesSoft SkillsStrong ownership mindset you treat production like your own productExcellent communication skills across technical and non-technical stakeholdersComfortable operating in ambiguous, fast-moving environmentsData-driven approach to reliability and performance decisionsNatural collaborator who lifts the team around them
