DevOps Engineer / Infrastructure Engineer (US Time Zone)

This is a remote position.

We’re seeking an experiencedDevOps / Infrastructure Engineerto help scale, operate, and optimize our production infrastructure. This role will take ownership of day-to-day cloud operations, reliability, deployments, and security practices, helping ensure our systems remain scalable, secure, and cost-efficient.

You’ll work primarily inGoogle Cloud Platform (GCP), supporting APIs and web applications in production and contributing to longer-term infrastructure planning.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage, operate, and optimize infrastructure inGoogle Cloud Platform (GCP)
  • Design, deploy, and maintaincontainerized applicationsusingDocker and Kubernetes
  • Own and improveCI/CD pipelinesand deployment processes
  • Monitor system performance, reliability, and availability
  • Identify and implementcloud cost optimizationstrategies
  • ScaleAPIs and web applicationsto support growing usage
  • Design, manage, and maintaindatabase clustering using Percona
  • Performlight database administration(backups, replication, performance, availability)
  • ManageDNS configurationsand core networking components
  • Implement and maintainsecurity best practices, includingOWASPguidelines
  • SupportSOC 2 complianceinitiatives, controls, and documentation
  • DevelopPython scriptsfor automation and operational tooling
  • ​Contribute toinfrastructure roadmapsand technical planning

Requirements

  • Strong hands-on experience withGoogle Cloud Platform (GCP)
  • Proficiency inLinux system administration
  • Practical experience withDocker and Kubernetes (K8s)in production
  • Solid understanding ofnetworking conceptsand troubleshooting
  • Experience supporting and scalingAPIs and web applications
  • Experience withdatabase clustering and replication, includingPercona
  • Familiarity withsystem monitoring, logging, and alerting
  • Experience withDNS management
  • Ability to writePythonfor automation and scripting
  • Working knowledge ofsecurity best practices, includingOWASP Top 10
  • Experience supportingSOC 2or similar security/compliance frameworks
  • Demonstrated experience optimizingcloud costs
  • Experience managing deployment and release pipelines
  • ​Professional/business communications skills in English

Nice to Have
  • Experience intelecommunications or messaging platforms(SMS, RCS, SIP)
  • Infrastructure as Codeexperience (Terraform, Ansible, etc.)
  • Experience with monitoring tools such asPrometheus, Grafana, Datadog
  • Familiarity withGitOpsworkflows
  • Experience with additional programming languages
