DfMA BIM Coordinator - Prefab MEP

Job Overview:

Lead and manage a team of BIM Modellers in developing and overseeing BIM models for prefabricated MEP systems. Ensure smooth integration across teams while driving innovation and efficiency in DfMA workflows.

Key Responsibilities:

🔹 BIM Model Oversight & Coordination

• Lead a team in creating and managing 3D BIM models for Prefab MEP projects.
• Integrate MEP, structural, and architectural elements, ensuring accuracy.
• Conduct clash detection and resolve conflicts using tools like Navisworks, Revizto, and Dalux.
• Optimize models for prefabrication and manage updates based on feedback.

🔹 Team Leadership & Quality Control

• Mentor BIM Modellers, ensuring adherence to standards and best practices.
• Perform quality control checks and organize coordination meetings to resolve issues.

🔹 Stakeholder Communication & Reporting

• Act as the primary BIM contact for the team and other stakeholders.
• Provide progress reports on model status and coordination challenges.

🔹 Process Improvement & BIM Standardization

• Develop BIM libraries, templates, and workflows for Prefab MEP modelling.
• Drive the adoption of new BIM tools and automation to enhance productivity.

Qualifications & Experience:
✔ NITEC, Higher NITEC, Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, or related fields.
✔ BIM software proficiency (AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks).
✔ Knowledge of MEP systems is preferred.
✔ Familiarity with structural and architectural coordination is a plus.
✔ 2-5 years of experience in BIM modelling and coordination, preferably in MEP or Prefab MEP.
✔ Experience leading a team of BIM Modellers.
✔ BCSS certification is preferred.

Skills:
✅ Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, Dalux.
✅ Strong understanding of prefabrication and modular MEP systems.
✅ Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
✅ Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
