Dietitian-Atlantic Health Chilton Medical Center-22.5 hours/Part Time -8:30AM-4:30PM
Provides comprehensive nutrition care to patients across the cancer care continuum, ensuring evidence-based interventions that support treatment outcomes and overall well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducts comprehensive nutrition assessments and develops individualized nutrition care plans based on oncology treatments and patient needs
- Evaluates interactions between diet, cancer therapies, and medications to guide safe and effective nutrition interventions
- Assesses dietary supplement use for safety and efficacy; provides patient education and recommendations
- Participates in multidisciplinary care through patient rounds and tumor board conferences
- Collaborates with providers, home infusion companies, and DME vendors on oral, enteral, parenteral, and hydration therapies
- Supports and contributes to nutrition-related quality improvement and patient satisfaction initiatives
- Develops, implements, and evaluates nutrition education programs for patients and the community, including evidence-based oncology nutrition materials
- Participates in community outreach and cancer-related education efforts
- Tracks and reports nutrition services data, including screenings, referrals, visits, and educational programming
- Represents oncology nutrition services on key committees (e.g., Cancer Committee, Survivorship Committee, Quality Committee)
Required:
1. Bachelor's degree in Nutrition and Dietetics.
2. Licensed with the State of New Jersey as a Registered Dietetic Technician or Registered Dietician or Dietary Manager Association or as applicable.
Preferred:
1. Master's degree in Nutrition and Dietetics,
2. 2-3 year's experience in acute care clinical nutrition or previous oncology relevant area.
