About the Position: This position is with the Defense Health Agency located at Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center in Fort Hood, TX. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation. A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service. Student Loan repayment may be authorized.

Provide Medical Nutrition Therapy for outpatient clients referred to from the Military Medical Treatment Facility and establish nutrition-related chronic disease management protocols

Adopt and implement appropriate clinical practice guidelines and protocols and coordinate implementation, integration, and process improvement with Primary Care and Specialty Care Clinics, as appropriate.

Develop, implement, and individualize plans for nutrition intervention in accordance with the client’s medical/personal goals, diagnosis, and self-management potential.

Conduct patient education, both on an individual basis and through group classes.

Develop, coordinate, and market programs to target populations and health care delivery system for optimal participation and improved health outcomes.
