Portfolio Lead
About the Role
The Portfolio Lead is responsible for defining, governing, and executing the organization’s project and product portfolio, ensuring alignment with strategic business priorities, financial targets, and operational capabilities. The role drives end-to-end portfolio visibility, prioritization, and value realization across cross-functional initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Define and maintain a consolidated portfolio of initiatives across business and IT domains
Drive portfolio prioritization aligned with strategic objectives and resource constraints
Establish governance frameworks, decision boards, and reporting standards
Monitor delivery progress, risks, dependencies, and financial performance
Enable transparency through portfolio dashboards and executive reporting
Partner with business stakeholders to translate strategy into funded initiatives
Ensure consistent demand intake, evaluation, and approval processes
Orchestrate cross-program dependencies and escalation management
Drive continuous improvement of portfolio management practices and tools

Enable fact-based decisions through structured governance forums
Escalate risks early and propose mitigation actions

Track and ensure measurable business outcomes (financial and operational)
Challenge low-value initiatives and reallocate resources when needed
Experience
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field
8 to 12+ years in portfolio management, program management, or digital transformation
Proven experience managing large-scale, cross-functional portfolios
Experience in manufacturing, semiconductor, or complex global environments preferred
Skills Required
Strong portfolio and program governance expertise
Financial acumen (business cases, ROI tracking, cost control)
Stakeholder management at senior leadership level
Data-driven decision-making and reporting (e.g., portfolio dashboards)
Risk and dependency management in complex environments
Familiarity with tools such as Power BI, project portfolio management systems
Leadership Competencies
Strategic thinking and prioritization
Strong communication, influencing, and facilitation skills
Ability to operate in ambiguity and drive alignment
Results-oriented with high accountability
Nice to Have
Experience with Agile and hybrid delivery models
Knowledge of enterprise architecture and IT delivery frameworks
Exposure to ESG, compliance, and regulatory-driven programs
