More about the role
As Digital Design Manager, you’ll play a key role in shaping how the Argos brand is experienced across all digital touchpoints — including website, mobile, app and email.
You’ll be responsible for translating brand and campaign strategies into compelling digital experiences that drive engagement, product discovery and conversion. Working closely with Brand Comms, Digital Trading, Product, Content and Marketing teams, you’ll ensure a consistent and high-quality customer experience across every interaction.
Alongside this, you’ll lead and develop a team of designers, including offshore capability in Mumbai. You’ll drive improvements in ways of working, build team capability and embed best practice across digital design delivery.
You’ll also play an important role in influencing future direction — using data, customer insight and performance metrics to continuously optimise and evolve how we deliver digital content.
More about you
You’re an experienced digital design leader who is comfortable operating at both a strategic and hands-on level. You bring a strong understanding of how design contributes to commercial outcomes and you’re confident using data and insights to inform decisions.
You’re highly collaborative and able to build strong relationships across cross-functional teams. You communicate confidently with a wide range of stakeholders and are comfortable influencing direction where needed.
You’re passionate about developing people and improving processes, and you enjoy working in a fast-paced, evolving environment where you can challenge thinking and bring new ideas to the table — including exploring new tools and technologies such as AI within design.
Essential criteria

Experience leading design delivery across digital platforms (e.g. websites, mobile apps or ecommerce platforms), with clear evidence of impact on customer engagement, conversion or commercial performance

Ability to translate brand and campaign guidelines into consistent and effective digital execution across multiple channels, including web, app and email

Experience working with cross-functional teams (e.g. product, marketing, digital trading) to deliver customer-facing digital initiatives

Experience using content management systems and digital analytics tools (e.g. Adobe Analytics or similar) to inform design decisions and optimise performance

Experience leading, coaching or developing teams, including working with distributed or offshore teams
