Role/Team overview

The Digital Product Owner plays a critical role in shaping and delivering Sky Business’ customer‑facing digital experiences, with a particular focus on our B2B websites and digital journeys. The role is responsible for translating business needs into clearly defined, prioritised and valuable digital outcomes, ensuring that delivery teams are always working on the highest‑value initiatives that align to Sky Business strategy.

Acting as the voice of the customer and the business, the Digital Product Owner works closely with Technology, UX, Content, Marketing, Sales and Operations to define and manage the product backlog, create high‑quality user stories, and support the end‑to‑end delivery of robust, data‑driven digital journeys.

The Digital Product Owner is part of the Sky Business Digital Team, a multi‑disciplinary group accountable for the delivery and continuous improvement of Sky Business’ digital estate, including customer acquisition and in‑life service journeys. The team brings together Digital Product Owners, UX design, digital content, delivery and technology partners to own the digital product roadmap and ensure a consistent, high‑quality customer experience across Sky Business platforms.

What you’ll do

  • Own and prioritise the digital product backlog for Sky Business customer journeys, ensuring delivery teams are focused on the highest‑value work aligned to business strategy.

  • Translate business and customer needs into well‑defined, prioritised user stories and epics, working closely with Technology, UX, Content and commercial stakeholders.

  • Act as the voice of the customer within agile delivery teams, supporting sprint planning, backlog refinement and release activities.

  • Collaborate across Sky Business functions (Marketing, Sales, Operations and Product) to ensure digital delivery supports commercial and operational objectives.

  • Use data, insight and customer feedback to inform prioritisation and drive continuous improvement of digital experiences.

  • Contribute to the wider Sky Business Digital Team, helping shape and deliver the digital roadmap and ensuring a consistent, high‑quality customer experience across platforms.

What you'll bring:

  • Proven experience working as a Digital or Software Product Owner (or in a closely related product role) within an agile delivery environment.

  • Experience translating business and customer needs into well‑defined user stories, epics and prioritised backlogs.

  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with experience working across Technology, UX, Content and commercial teams.

  • A customer‑focused mindset with a good understanding of digital customer journeys and user‑centred design.

  • Confidence working with data, insight and analytics to inform prioritisation and product decisions.

  • Solid understanding of modern digital technologies and the ability to work effectively with technology delivery teams.

How you’ll work

We've adopted a hybrid working approach to give more flexibility on where and how we work. The hybrid working expectations for this role are X days in the office per week.

Your office base

Livingston

Sky Watermark is our central site for Livingston, sitting between Glasgow and Edinburgh. With vibrant office spaces, chill-out areas, and an onsite canteen, it’s a great place to work and connect.

The nearest train station is Livingston North. A Sky shuttle bus runs between the station and campus every 20 minutes throughout the day. Plus, there’s onsite parking available for cars, motorbikes and bicycles.
