Summary:

This position will contribute to the regional revenue and profit targets by supporting the sales development and increase of revenue within the Commercial Supply Chain business. Furthermore, the holder of this position must independently execute the following tasks:

  • Takes integral part in general business development processes and specific sales opportunities of (but not limited to) Commercial Supply Chain business

  • Drive regional, country and account level campaigns to ensure a consistent pipeline of potential sales opportunities

  • Elaboration, improvement and development of the Commercial Supply Chain related product as well as continuous identification and development of actual applications within the target group

  • Partner with the sales team to shape World Courier’s response to Commercial Supply Chain bids, in coordination with the Sales Tools and Enablement team when appropriate

  • Point of contact for internal stakeholder (e.g. sales executives, management, customer service, operations) and external customers when it comes to ship commercial products and consulting is needed within the sales cycle upon request

  • Analysis and evaluation of the market potential by market observation, research/surveys, consumer interviews and conference participation

  • Keeping in mind the long-term vision while driving short-term results

Responsibilities:

  • Achieve annual regional revenue and profit targets by performing activities i.e. meetings with internal and/or external stakeholders

  • Achieve annual activity targets in agreement with key stakeholders

  • Develop and distribute product knowledge; initiate and maintain know-how exchange among cross-divisional teams and improve business processes to ensure commercial success of the CSC product within the given market

  • Lead the analyses and planning to manage Gross Profit at a client and lane activity base by working with stakeholders to manage operational costs.

  • Track, report and steer the success of all product management and sales relevant activities

  • Support the regional offices in the development and winning of new Commercial Supply Chain opportunities and maintain existing business

  • Provide communication regarding the success and development of all product management relevant programmes

  • Ensure know-know and training of the sales force in regard of Commercial Supply Chain

  • Must be willing to travel to events e.g. customer appointments, seminars, exhibitions etc

  • Must be willing to build up and maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, seminars and exhibitions; reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies

  • Build productive business relationships with key opinion leaders and influential customers across the Asia Pacifice group

  • Participate in personal development and training sessions

  • Execute other duties as may be required by the direct manager and other members of World Courier's Management team as training and experience allow

  • Compliance with prescribed quality standards and issues as per ISO 9001/ISO14001, the adherence to working-hours, as well as to safety, accident-prevention and environmental-protection regulations

  • Achieve department/role productivity and quality goals

  • Position World Courier as the industry’s partner of choice for specialty commercial logistics, resulting in winning new business in this segment

  • Elaboration, improvement and development of the Commercial Supply Chain related product as well as continuous identification and development of actual applications within the target group

  • Member of Global Product Team supporting global development and standardization of value proposition with regional adaptability and execution

Regional Vice President APAC/Director Commercial Supply Chain

Education:

  • Degree and/or Diploma education

Experience:

  • Key understanding of the Pharmaceutical Supply Chain Commercial or Operational experience with Pharma Freight forwarding or specialist logistics industry experience and knowledge

  • Sales experience Commercial awareness Business acumen

  • Presentation and negotiation abilities

  • Communication skills

  • Experience in operating in a Matrix environment (global product, regional execution)

Minimum Skills Knowledge and Ability Requirements:

  • Written and verbal communication skills

  • Fluency in English

  • Proficiency in Chinese or other Asian language

  • Commercial awareness and understanding of economic correlations
