The Opportunity
A global cloud-native services firm is hiring its first dedicated AI and cloud services seller for California, and wants one person to own the territory end to end. You will land net-new enterprise logos, sell AI and cloud transformation work (not staff augmentation) into CIOs, CDOs, and Chief AI Officers, and report straight to the CEO and founders. Success at 90 days is a qualified pipeline you built from your own network; at 12 months, closed multi-million-dollar engagements and a territory that runs on your name. Base is steady, commission is uncapped, and the comp scales hard if you close.
What You'll Own
Build the California go-to-market from zero and carry the net-new logo quota yourself
Run full-cycle deals from first conversation through proposal, negotiation, and signature
Activate your existing CIO/CDO/Chief AI Officer relationships from day one
Translate client business problems into AI-led, outcome-based proposals instead of headcount pitches
Co-sell with AWS, Databricks, and Snowflake field teams to source and accelerate deals
Represent the company at AWS, AI, and industry events and build a point of view that pulls inbound
What We're Looking For
7+ years in enterprise technology sales (services, SaaS, or consulting); 10+ preferred
Proven close history on $1M-$5M+ deals in the US market
An existing relationship book in CIO/CDO/Chief AI Officer or senior enterprise buyer communities you can activate now
Real AI and modern data fluency: credible on GenAI, Databricks, Snowflake, and AWS without pre-sales backup
Based in California
Comfortable as a solo hunter reporting directly to founders, with no team beneath you to start
Nice to Have
Databricks, Snowflake, or AWS partner co-sell experience
Vertical depth in financial services, healthcare, or mid-market SaaS
A track record of a company that pivoted into AI, where you led the new motion
Tools and Stack
AI/cloud services portfolio: GenAI and agentic systems, application and platform modernization, cloud data platforms and MLOps, managed services. AWS-led hyperscaler co-sell, Databricks and Snowflake partnerships.

Location: California, US (remote, with travel for events and customers)
Salary: $145k -165k base, uncapped commission (realistic path to 200k+) First Year, with compounding gains year 2-5.
