Tonies is seeking a highly analytical and commercially minded Director, Commercial Intelligence to serve as the strategic analytics partner to the VP of Omnichannel Sales and General Manager, North America.

This role is responsible for transforming commercial data and insights into actionable business intelligence that improves commercial decision-making, identifies risks and opportunities, and strengthens alignment across Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Operations. This role will be hybrid - in office time will be required once our Boston office location is open (late 2026).
Commercial Intelligence & Decision Support
Serve as the primary commercial intelligence partner to the VP of Omnichannel Sales and General Manager, North America.
Translate existing data and reporting into actionable business insights and recommendations.
Identify commercial risks, opportunities, and emerging trends across channels.
Support annual planning, QBRs, and strategic initiatives through analytical interpretation and scenario analysis.
Present findings and recommendations to leadership teams.
Forecast Challenge & Commercial Governance
Collect, vet, and provide commercial insights and intelligence to Global Operations to support demand forecast development
Partner with North America and Global Operations to review forecasts and assumptions for accuracy
Independently pressure-test commercial assumptions and identify inconsistencies.
Evaluate risks, upside opportunities, and potential business impacts.
Escalate material risks and gaps in assumptions to leadership.
Support alignment discussions between Commercial and Operations teams.
This role owns the commercial intelligence that drives forecasts and will “handshake” with ops on the final forecast numbers, but it does not own the underlying forecast model.
Partnership with Data & Insights
Partner with the global Data & Insights team to leverage existing reporting, analytical tools, and data assets.
Define business questions and analytical requirements for North America.
Provide commercial context to help prioritize analytical initiatives.
Utilize existing dashboards, reporting capabilities, and systems rather than creating parallel solutions.
Advanced Analytics
Evaluate relationships between:
Toniebox installed base growth
Attach rates
Retail productivity
Promotional performance
SKU productivity
Assortment effectiveness
Consumer purchasing behavior
Improve visibility into retailer performance, sales trends, inventory risk, promotional effectiveness, and growth opportunities.
Drive greater transparency and consistency in how commercial performance is measured across NA.
Cross-Functional Partnership

Required Qualifications
10+ years of experience in one or more of the following:
Business Analytics
Commercial Analytics
Revenue Management
Data Science
Consumer Products Analytics
Retail Analytics
Strong understanding of omnichannel retail and ecommerce businesses.
Advanced analytical and modeling capabilities.
Experience building executive-level reporting and business intelligence tools.
Strong SQL and translating insights into business decisions.
Ability to challenge assumptions constructively and influence stakeholders at all levels.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting major retailers such as Walmart, Target, Amazon, or similar accounts.
Experience in consumer products, toys, entertainment, juvenile products, or related industries.
