Director, Delivery
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Director, Delivery based in Portugal.
This is a senior leadership role responsible for shaping and scaling delivery operations across a diverse portfolio of enterprise clients in the EMEA region. You will own the strategic direction and execution of delivery services, ensuring exceptional client outcomes across complex, global engagements. Acting as a key bridge between customers and internal teams, you will influence pre-sales, onboarding, delivery excellence, and long-term account growth. The role requires strong executive presence, commercial awareness, and the ability to operate in fast-moving, distributed environments. You will lead cross-functional initiatives that improve operational maturity, customer satisfaction, and revenue retention. Accountabilities:
- Lead a strategic, industry-focused delivery organization across the EMEA region, ensuring high-quality outcomes, operational rigor, and long-term client retention
- Own delivery strategy across client portfolios, including testing engagements, onboarding, and value realization initiatives
- Partner closely with Sales and Pre-Sales teams to shape commercial strategy, support deal cycles, and expand existing accounts
- Oversee client onboarding, pilot execution, and implementation quality to ensure successful adoption and customer success
- Drive executive-level client relationships, providing strategic guidance and translating technical delivery into clear business value
- Monitor portfolio health through KPIs, financial metrics, and risk indicators, ensuring consistent performance and forecasting accuracy
- Lead renewal planning and execution, including commercial discussions and contract retention strategies
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Operations, Community, Delivery Leadership) to continuously improve service quality and scale global delivery capabilities
- 12+ years of experience in professional services, delivery management, or consulting, including at least 5 years in senior leadership roles managing large-scale portfolios and P&Ls
- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Business, or a related technical field
- Strong background in delivery transformation, client engagement management, or enterprise consulting environments
- Solid understanding of software development lifecycles, DevOps practices, QA engineering principles, and testing methodologies
- Proven experience managing executive-level client relationships and communicating complex technical topics to non-technical stakeholders
- Strong financial and operational acumen, including KPI tracking, reporting, risk management, and resource planning
- Experience leading contract renewals and commercial negotiations in enterprise environments
- Exceptional leadership skills with experience managing distributed, cross-functional, and remote teams
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills in English, with strong executive presence
