MUFG Bank, Ltd is seeking a highly experienced and enthusiastic Director for Global Corporate Transaction Banking Sales to join their Singapore branch. What you'll do:

As Director of Global Corporate Transaction Banking Sales at MUFG Bank’s Singapore branch, you will be entrusted with advancing the bank’s presence among multinational corporations through strategic sales leadership. Your day to day activities will focus on.

  • Spearhead transaction banking sales initiatives by developing comprehensive strategies that support aggressive regional revenue targets across cash and liquidity management as well as trade and supply chain finance.
  • Design and execute detailed action plans aimed at increasing product penetration and wallet share among identified multinational corporate clients within the region.
  • Act as a subject matter expert in cash management and trade finance by identifying emerging market trends and proactively capturing new business opportunities for the bank.
  • Lead high-level strategic conversations with large corporate treasurers, manage complex regional RFPs, and deliver multi-country pitches tailored to the unique needs of multinational clients.
  • Serve as a trusted treasury solutions advisor by providing bespoke consultative advice on working capital optimisation and liquidity management in response to evolving client requirements.
  • Anticipate shifting customer expectations by remaining sensitive to market changes and implementing measures that ensure MUFG remains ahead of competitors in transaction banking offerings.
  • Collaborate closely with Regional Coverage teams, Relationship Managers, Global Markets specialists, and Product Development units to ensure seamless delivery of unified client experiences.
  • Prepare compelling presentation materials for senior-level customers that clearly articulate value propositions while supporting deal execution processes.
  • Review all deal proposals meticulously to ensure alignment with business strategy, optimal pricing structures, risk mitigation standards, and high-quality service delivery.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, products, relevant laws, regulations, and compliance requirements while contributing actively to departmental initiatives focused on revenue growth.

What you bring:

To excel in this role, you will bring extensive hands on experience gained from leading transaction banking sales functions within globally recognised financial institutions. Your background should include direct engagement with regional treasury centres of major multinational corporations enabling you to understand their unique operational complexities. In addition to technical proficiency across cash management and trade finance products, your interpersonal skills will set you apart.

  • A minimum of ten years’ experience in banking with at least five years specialising in transaction banking sales within top-tier global institutions.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business, Finance or a related discipline; additional professional qualifications in banking or treasury are highly regarded.
  • Proven track record working directly with Regional Treasury Centres (RTCs) of multinational corporate clients across Asia-Pacific markets.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of cash management solutions as well as trade and supply chain finance products relevant to large corporates operating regionally.
  • Demonstrated expertise in managing complex deals including regional RFPs and multi-country client pitches from inception through execution.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills enabling you to influence stakeholders effectively while building enduring client relationships based on trust.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines without compromising attention to detail or service quality.
  • Advanced analytical skills supporting strategic thinking around market trends identification, problem-solving for client challenges, and commercial solution design.
  • Collaborative mindset with proven capability to work efficiently alongside cross-functional teams including relationship managers, product specialists, compliance officers, and senior executives.
  • Solution-oriented approach combined with strong awareness of regulatory frameworks governing transaction banking operations.
