DIRECTOR OF EXECUTIVE OFFICE (DEO)

Position Purpose

The Director serves as the Integrator for the Hume Center, overseeing the administrative and operational functions of the Executive Office. By managing meeting coordination, documentation, and day-to-day follow-through, this role enables the CEO (& President)—who also serves as Chief of Community Mental Health (CCMH)—to focus on organizational mission, clinical vision, strategic growth, and leadership development.

The Director supports the Executive Team by ensuring operational continuity, facilitating communication, and helping move key initiatives forward. This structure also allows the CCMH to prioritize clinical leadership, peer consultation with senior clinical leaders, regulatory compliance, program innovation, and the continued development of services that meet the evolving needs of the communities Hume Center serves.


Key Responsibilities:

Executive Office Operations

  • Own the weekly Executive Team (ET) meeting cycle: agendas, facilitation, documentation, and action-item follow-through
  • Facilitate weekly tactical meetings with VPs and Senior Leaders to drive operational alignment
  • Support the CEO and Board Secretary on all board-related logistics, materials, and official records
  • Coordinate the CEO's participation in monthly Senior Leadership Team (SLT) meetings and the Professional Leadership Group (PLG)
  • Partner with the Corporate Office Manager to streamline executive calendar management and complex scheduling

Project Management & Strategic Initiatives

  • Lead project management for new proposals, growth initiatives, and strategic projects tied to the Growth & Evidence Pillar
  • Oversee administrative staff supporting Research & Development — ensuring grant timelines and deliverables stay on track
  • Serve as liaison between the Executive Office, CFO, and Contracts to advance high-priority agreements and compliance milestones

Supervision & Organizational Effectiveness

  • Directly supervise the Office Manager and assigned administrative staff; foster a collaborative, responsive team culture
  • Build and maintain operational playbooks and procedures for the Executive Office
  • Manage the organization's Master Matrix — tracking QA corrective actions and preparing executive updates
  • Serve as a trusted coordination point for workplace concerns requiring executive or HR escalation
  • Uphold the 24-Hour Rule: meeting materials submitted at least 24 hours in advance


Qualifications:

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare, Public, or Behavioral Health Administration, Organizational Development, or related field
  • 4-8 years in executive operations, project management, or organizational leadership
  • Proven experience supporting C-suite or senior leadership teams
  • Strong skills in organization, communication, and cross-functional coordination
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, and project/work management platforms
  • Comfort leveraging AI tools to improve operational efficiency and administrative workflows

Preferred

  • Master's degree in a related field
  • Experience in nonprofit, healthcare, or behavioral health settings
  • PMP, Lean Six Sigma, or similar certification
  • Demonstrated experience integrating AI and automation into executive or administrative operations
