Job Summary
The Director of Operations Excellence & Supply Chain at PROPWR is responsible for defining and owning PROPWR’s end-to-end ownership of fleet lifecycle and supply chain, and operational excellence strategy. This role establishes the strategic framework for supply chain performance, asset reliability, and capital efficiency, while governance over inventory strategy, asset movement, and supplier partnerships and continuous improvement initiatives.
The Director of Operations Excellence & Supply Chain is responsible for setting strategic direction, driving accountability across the organization, and building a team to execute lifecycle, inventory, and supplier strategies. The Director ensures alignment across Operations, Engineering, Commercial, and Finance while maintaining clear ownership of performance results.
Responsibilities
- Own the enterprise lifecycle strategy for PROPWR fleet assets, including acquisition, deployment, maintenance, and retirement
- Own the enterprise supply chain strategy for PROPWR, including sourcing, procurement, logistics, inventory management, and supplier performance
- Ensure adherence to regulatory, contractual, and internal control requirements
- Oversee vendor compliance, audits, and risk management
- Define asset lifecycle standards, utilization expectations, and capital planning priorities across the fleet
- Ensure alignment between asset strategy and operational reliability, without direct involvement in day-to-day execution
- Own the strategy and performance outcomes for inventory, asset tracking, and parts management across the PROPWR network
- Set inventory philosophy, critical spares strategy, and stocking models to balance cost, risk, and uptime
- Establish governance over asset movement and deployment planning, ensuring consistency and operational alignment
- Ensure systems, reporting, and controls are in place to provide visibility and accountability across supply chain performance
- Own supplier strategy, including vendor segmentation, sourcing approach, and long-term partnerships
- Lead high-level supplier negotiations and contracting strategy, while delegating execution to the team
- Establish performance expectations and accountability frameworks for key vendors
- Align supplier strategy with business growth, cost targets, and reliability requirements
- Build and scale the lifecycle and supply chain organization, defining structure, roles, and longer-term operating model to support fleet growth
- Establish clear ownership within the team for execution of lifecycle, inventory, and logistics activities
- Drive a culture of accountability, performance management, and continuous improvement
- Partner with functional leaders to ensure cross-functional alignment without duplicating execution efforts
- Define and own KPIs for lifecycle cost asset utilization, inventory health, and supplier performance
- Hold teams accountable to performance targets through regular review cadences and governance forums
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives at a strategic level, ensuring sustainable process and system enhancements
- Sponsor system strategy and data integrity standards to enable informed decision-making
- Maintain compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies by attending all required HSE training sessions, safety meetings, and always utilize proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Other duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field (MBA preferred)
- 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in supply chain, asset lifecycle management, or operations within energy, industrial, power generation, or capital-intensive environments with a strong understanding of lifecycle cost drivers and operations reliability
- Demonstrated experience owning and leading end-to-end supply chain functions, including sourcing, procurement, logistics, inventory management, supplier performance and cost optimization
- Proven track record of developing and executing lifecycle or total cost of ownership strategies for large-scale assets or fleet-based operations
- Experience designing, building, or transforming supply chain or lifecycle organizations, including defining team structure, roles, and operating models
- Deep expertise in supplier strategy, contract negotiation, and vendor performance management, including leading high-value or strategic supplier relationships
- Strong financial acumen with demonstrated ownership of cost strategy, capital planning, and budget accountability
- Experience developing and implementing inventory strategy, logistics networks, and asset tracking systems across multiple locations
- Strong systems mindset with experience leveraging ERP systems, inventory management platforms, and data analytics to drive decision-making and performance visibility
- Proven ability to lead in a high-growth, evolving environment Experience working cross-functionally across Operations, Engineering, Finance, and Commercial teams
- Strong presence with the ability to influence at all levels and drive alignment across functions
- Strategic thinker with a strong ownership mindset, focused on long-term value creation and operations excellence
