Role Overview
Delivery, Billability & Execution:
As Director of PMO, you'll lead enterprise healthcare clients in building, optimizing, and maturing their Project Management Offices — from initial assessment through full operational maturity. You'll maintain50–60% billable utilization, operate with a high level of autonomy, and balance delivery, team leadership, and growth contribution without requiring direction.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Client Delivery & PMO Execution (50–60% Billable)
- Lead Epic implementations end-to-end — from project initiation through go-live and stabilization — with a minimum of three (3) full Epic implementations successfully delivered.
- Drive new technology implementations (EHR, Revenue Cycle, ancillary systems) with PMO-level rigor: governance design, RAID tracking, milestone management, and go-live readiness.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to C-suite and IT leadership — providing strategic guidance on program execution, project prioritization, and decision-making across complex stakeholder landscapes.
- Own portfolio-wide planning, reporting cadences, and executive steering committee preparation.
- Coach and develop client-side project managers and team leads — building internal client capability that outlasts the engagement.
- Apply PMP-level frameworks: governance models, risk/issue management, change control, resource planning, and quality assurance.
- Operate effectively across diverse healthcare environments: academic medical centers, community hospitals, integrated delivery networks, physician groups, and payers.
2. Business Development & Relationship Building
Business development at the Director level isn't a quota or a side responsibility — it's how you show up. It means delivering exceptional outcomes, staying present in your clients' world, and building the kind of relationships that make Ellit Groups the first call they make. Directors who develop this trusted advisor presence are the ones who grow into VP-level roles.
- Build authentic, long-term relationships with healthcare IT leaders — CIOs, CMIOs, VPs of IT, and operational executives — through exceptional delivery.
- Stay engaged with client stakeholders between active engagements: check in, share insights, and follow up on delivered outcomes.
- Identify expansion and follow-on opportunities naturally surfaced through delivery work; communicate those signals to VP leadership clearly and promptly.
- Support RFP responses, pitch materials, and pursuit decks with domain expertise and delivery proof points.
- Engage meaningfully at industry events: HIMSS, Becker's Healthcare, Epic UGM, Oracle Health Summit, and PMI chapter events.
- Maintain an active, authentic LinkedIn presence reflecting genuine healthcare IT expertise.
- Log contacts, conversations, and opportunity signals in Salesforce consistently.

- Support talent acquisition by interviewing candidates and assessing PM competency
- Partner with the VP of PMO on practice strategy, service line evolution, and team development
