About the Role:
We are seeking a “Director of Product Management” to own and drive the Portfolio Monitoringproduct area. This is a customer-facing leadership role: you will work directlywith large, sophisticated institutional clients who have complex customization,configuration, and integration requirements. You will define the product visionand roadmap for portfolio monitoring, translate client needs into scalableproduct capabilities, and collaborate closely with Sales, Customer Success, andEngineering to deliver solutions that win and retain enterprise accounts.
The ideal candidate comes from aB2B enterprise software background in the private markets, alternativeinvestments, or financial data space, and has direct experience managingproducts where client-specific configuration and white-glove engagement are centralto the value proposition.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own the productvision, strategy, and 12-month roadmap for the Portfolio Monitoring productarea, aligning with CEPRES’ overall business objectives and marketopportunities.
- Participate inthe annual strategic planning process alongside business unit leadership,bringing market intelligence, competitive analysis, and technology feasibilityinput so that commercial priorities are defined with full product and marketcontext.
- Own systematicmarket and competitive intelligence as an ongoing function: maintain astructured view of competitor capabilities, market trends, and client needsrather than relying on anecdotal feedback from individual sales conversations,and use this to inform roadmap prioritization and product strategy.
- Serve as theprimary product voice in client-facing engagements: participate in salescycles, lead product demonstrations, run discovery workshops, and managesolution scoping for enterprise prospects and existing accounts.
- Translatelarge-scale customization and configuration requests from institutional clientsinto scalable, repeatable product capabilities that serve the broadermarket.
- Partner withSales and Customer Success to develop account-specific solution strategies,ensuring product capabilities align with client requirements and contractualcommitments.
- Overseemultiple agile squads delivering portfolio monitoring features, ensuringcoordinated execution, effective cross-team collaboration, and continuousimprovement in product delivery.
- Championproduct positioning and go-to-market strategy by collaborating with Marketingto develop pricing, positioning, and messaging that differentiates CEPRES inthe private market’s software space.
- Build andmanage relationships with strategic partners, data providers, and technologyvendors to enhance the product ecosystem.
- Mentor anddevelop the product management team, fostering a culture of client empathy,analytical rigor, and continuous learning.
- Monitor productperformance, adoption metrics, and client satisfaction to inform strategicdecision-making and prioritization.
Requirements
- 10+ years ofexperience in product management within B2B enterprise software, with at least5 years in a customer-facing product role serving large, sophisticatedclients.
- Directexperience in the private markets, alternative investments, asset management,or financial data/technology sector.
- Proven trackrecord of managing products that require significant client-specificcustomization, configuration, or implementation, while maintaining a scalableproduct architecture.
- Strong B2Bsales environment experience: comfortable participating in RFPs, prospectdemos, solution scoping, and commercial negotiations alongside Salesteams.
- Deep expertisein agile methodologies, strategic roadmap development, and cross-functionalteam leadership.
- Excellentcommunication skills with the ability to engage credibly with C-levelexecutives, portfolio managers, and operations teams at institutionalinvestors.
- Experience withproduct positioning, GTM strategy development, and driving successful marketlaunches in enterprise software.
- In-depthknowledge of portfolio monitoring workflows, including fund accounting,performance measurement (IRR, TVPI, DPI), cash flow management, and investorreporting.
- Demonstratedsuccess in mentoring product teams and driving organizational growth.
- Ability todocument and articulate complex product requirements, user stories, and processimprovements clearly and effectively.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience at aprivate market software vendor.
- Exposure toadvanced analytics, AI/machine learning technologies, and quantitative modelingtechniques as applied to private market portfolio data.
- MBA or advanceddegree in finance, economics, or related quantitative discipline.
- Familiaritywith product management tools such as Jira, Confluence, Product board, orsimilar platforms.
- Fluency inEnglish required; German or additional European languages a strong plus.
- A proactive,entrepreneurial mindset with a strong desire to innovate in a fast-paced,scaling environment.
