Director of Talent
You will lead all talent strategy and programs within the organization, spanning talent acquisition and talent development. You will design and implement systems, standards, and processes that improve hiring quality and leadership development. You will own talent management end to end, including performance, development, and leadership programs, and ensure they connect to compensation and progression. You will translate business objectives into workforce plans, identify automation opportunities, and apply a commercial mindset to workforce decisions. You will build and maintain the talent acquisition program and set a clear path from entry level to senior roles. You will create a robust onboarding and development ecosystem, and enable leadership capability across technical and people managers. You will explore AI-enabled tools to increase efficiency and impact while preserving a human-centered approach. You will foster a data-driven culture with clear performance standards and pay linkage. You will collaborate with finance and functional leaders to align people strategy with growth.
Responsibilities
- Lead talent strategy and programs across talent acquisition and development
- Design and implement performance management systems and leadership development programs
- Build the annual performance cycle and link it to compensation decisions
- Create and maintain a promotion framework with clear criteria by level
- Own high-potential programs and mentoring initiatives
- Develop leadership capability across the organization through programs and coaching
- Enable team effectiveness in a flat organizational structure with wide spans of control
- Create a learning and development strategy for critical capabilities
- Identify and deploy AI-enabled tools to improve efficiency and quality in hiring, performance, and development
- Define the Hut 8 Way for hiring with rigorous, consistent selection methods
- Partner with finance and functional leaders to translate business objectives into workforce plans
- Support and develop the talent acquisition team
Requirements
- 10+ years in talent leadership roles or consulting
- Commercially minded with ability to translate strategy into workforce decisions
- Experience designing performance systems, promotion frameworks, and leadership programs
- High-growth company experience
- Executive presence and ability to influence senior leaders
- Systems thinker who builds scalable frameworks and processes
- Hands-on yet able to delegate and develop the team
