We currently have an opportunity for a Participant Engagement & Retirement Planning Consultant. This is a hands-on, client-facing role focused on conducting retirement plan education sessions, engaging plan participants one-on-one to address their individual financial needs and connecting them to HUB's broader Retirement & Private Wealth resources. As the department grows, the role expands to include developing educational content, leading a team of educators, and serving as a liaison to local management.

Specific Duties:

Participant & Client Engagement

  • Coordinate and conduct employee engagement sessions, including enrollment meetings, financial wellness presentations, and other related topics
  • Conduct client and participant Retirement Plan education meetings, both virtually and onsite at client offices
  • Meet individually with plan participants to understand their personal financial goals and identify opportunities to help them through HUB's Retirement & Private Wealth services — including financial planning, investment management, and insurance and protection solutions
  • Convert participant relationships into private wealth and ancillary business, handling opportunities directly or in partnership with a Private Wealth advisor as appropriate
  • Serve as a connection point between retirement plan participants and the broader Private Wealth team to deepen client relationships and drive ancillary revenue
  • Respond to, assist, and support plan participants
  • Plan a virtual education offering available to all clients
  • Schedule meetings with clients as assigned
  • Maintain strong knowledge of clients, client contacts, and client plans
  • CRM maintenance of all client interactions
  • Support the Sales Team as needed

Content & Industry Awareness

  • Develop content in collaboration with the national marketing team; enhance or update as needed
  • Monitor ongoing industry news for trends and shifts relevant to participant education

Team Leadership & Strategy (growing with the department)

  • As the team grows - manage, retain, attract, and develop talent, including training the education team, creating and facilitating a training program, shadowing to ensure standards are met, and providing ongoing coaching and feedback through regular performance and development discussions
  • Identify and resolve strategic challenges
  • Liaison with local management on trends, needs, and client feedback
  • Special projects as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • FINRA licensed, with one of the following combinations: Series 7 & 66, or Series 6, 63 & 65 (Series 7 & 66 preferred)
  • Life & health insurance license required, to support participant-level cross-sell of private wealth and insurance solutions
  • Strong knowledge of Retirement Plans
  • General knowledge related to financial services, investments, and ERISA
  • Strong communication skills
  • Prior experience working with Retirement Plans and presenting to clients
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Must be able to work independently, with some supervision and direction from manager
  • Must possess and demonstrate excellent organizational skills, customer service skills, and verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Management experience preferred

Department Account Management & Service

Required Experience: 7-10 years of relevant experience

Required Travel: Negligible

Required Education: Bachelor's degree (4-year degree)
