Job Description

Strategic

Responsible for coverage, origination, and relationship management of APAC subsidiaries of US and EMEA multinational clients, driving regional revenue growth, cross‑border business, and product penetration across MUFG’s platform.

The role acts as a key bridge between global coverage teams (US/EMEA GRMs) and local APAC product/coverage teams, ensuring consistent client strategy and execution across geographies.

To establish Regional Account Plans for American & European Corporate Banking Consumer, Retail, & Healthcare clients in cooperation with primary office, credit divisions, product office and other related offices/divisions of the bank. Contribute to the creation and delivery strategic goals of the GSB APAC business, and ensure all those around are motivated and held accountable for this.

Financial

To achieve targets and commitments set in the financial year.

To regularly update supervisors and senior management with marketing reports/deal pipelines on business development activities and progress toward achievement of semi-annual/annual profit targets set by management.

Maintain a deep insight on the revenue trajectory and attribution, and identify areas to accelerate revenue within and beyond the immediate portfolio.

  • Identify and originate opportunities across:

    • Cash management

    • Trade finance

    • FX / rates

    • Lending / credit

    • Capital markets

  • Drive cross-selling across multiple product lines

  • Focus on:

    • New client acquisition within American/EMEA subsidiaries

    • Increasing share of wallet from existing clients

  • Support pipeline development and conversion of flow and event-driven business

Customer

Manage a portfolio of APAC subsidiaries of US & EMEA MNC clients

Act as the primary regional banker for subsidiary-level engagement

Develop deep understanding of client operating model, treasury setup, and regional footprint

Maintain senior-level relationships with:

  • Regional Treasury Centers (RTCs)

  • Local finance teams

  • Corporate decision makers

Drive client retention, wallet share expansion, and relationship deepening

To actively identify, develop and promote new business and relationship management with client groups in the Region through cross selling a healthy product mix. Up tier APAC relationships to HQ, CEO, CFO, APAC Head and Global ESG levels where applicable, in order to drive the MUFG strategic agenda across the entire scope of the client wallet.

People

To collaborate and work closely with Head Office/Overseas branches/subsidiaries/associate companies in pursuit of regional/global business with clients.

To also engage and coordinate with Product Offices to promote business to clients. Influence those around the business to accelerate the business growth across APAC.

Other/ Control

To control and coordinate credit preparation, credit matters including instructions, conditions and reports required and documentation including pending items.

To always comply with internal rules and guidelines, as well as external laws and regulations pertaining to proper conduct of banking business.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum 15 years’ experience in banking and finance industry, including experience in origination and coverage, corporate banking space

  • Degree qualification

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in stakeholder management and collaboration with other departments

  • Strong understanding of local finance laws and regulations

  • In-depth knowledge of corporate banking products and services

  • Credit analysis skills
