About The Narrative Nest
The Narrative Nest Singapore develops and delivers experiential learning programmes that connect people, places, and stories through meaningful educational experiences.
We work with schools, community organisations, government agencies, and social impact partners to design engaging programmes that encourage curiosity, critical thinking, civic awareness, and lifelong learning.
Our work spans learning journeys, youth development programmes, environmental education, public speaking, digital literacy, community engagement, and experiential workshops for diverse audiences.
As we expand our facilitator pool, we are looking for confident, reliable, and engaging facilitators to support guided learning experiences across Singapore.
Role Overview
As a Discovery Journey Facilitator, you will lead participants through structured educational experiences in community and public spaces, helping them connect concepts, stories, and real-world observations through discussion and guided exploration.
You will engage participants through storytelling, questioning techniques, and interactive facilitation rather than lecture-based instruction.
Assignments may involve school groups, youth organisations, community participants, or members of the public.
Key Responsibilities
Facilitate guided learning journeys and experiential programmes for groups of varying sizes
Present information in an engaging, audience-appropriate manner
Encourage participation through discussions, observation activities, and reflection exercises
Manage group movement, safety, and participant engagement throughout programmes
Adapt facilitation style to suit different age groups and learning profiles
Represent programmes professionally and maintain high standards of participant experience
Provide post-session feedback and observations where required
Attend briefing sessions, training, or site familiarisation visits when necessary
Who We're Looking For
We welcome applications from individuals with experience in:
Guided tours and heritage interpretation
Learning journeys and outdoor education
Museum or gallery facilitation
School enrichment programmes
Community outreach and engagement
Environmental education
Youth development programmes
Public speaking and audience engagement
Preferred Qualifications & Experience
Prior experience facilitating tours, walks, workshops, or experiential programmes
Strong public speaking and communication skills
Comfortable managing groups of children, youths, or adults
Ability to think on your feet and respond confidently to participant questions
Professional, dependable, and punctual
Experience working with schools, community organisations, or public agencies is advantageous
MOE Instructor Registration is a bonus but not required
Engagement Details
Engagement Type: Freelance / Project-Based
Schedule: Primarily weekdays, with occasional weekends depending on programme requirements
Programme Duration: Typically 1.5 to 3 hours per session
Locations: Various locations across Singapore
Compensation
Compensation will be commensurate with experience, qualifications, and assignment scope.
Indicative range:
Facilitator: $35–$50 per hour
Senior Facilitator / Lead Guide: $50–$70 per hour
