Job Duties:

UWM is seeking a Dishwasher to provides oversight for the set-up and maintenance of the Dishroom and dining room as well as related tasks to ensure compliance with health, safety and sanitation requirements, rules and regulations. This position works closely with students, student managers, and limited term employees.

Availability/Schedule:

Weekend and evening availability is required with a flexible but tentative schedule of Monday - Friday - 12:00pm-8:30pm

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Operates a dishwashing station and associated equipment (40%)
  • Assists student employees and provides training as needed (40%)
  • Cleans, inspects, and maintains equipment and work areas to ensure adherence to safe food quality, handling, and sanitation processes and procedures (10%)
  • Shelves and organizes (stockroom, warehouse) inventory (5%)
  • Moves and maintains equipment and furniture for dining events (5%)

$15.00 - $17.00 an hour

Required Qualifications:

  • Six months of food service experience in a professional setting

Preferred Qualifications:

  • One year of food service experience in a professional setting

  • ServSafe Certification, Food Handler or Manager certification

  • Experience leading and/or training staff

  • Experience in a customer service environment
