Borealis is looking to add a motivated leader to the team to maintain the quality of service offered to our customers. Borealis’ primary objective is to provide the best full-fuel service and customer experience. We utilize technology, share accurate information, and respond promptly. Borealis performs service work, delivers fuel to customers, and operates a network of bulk transport vehicles that move fuel across Canada and the USA.
Summary
This position will be vital to the business's day-to-day and long-term goals. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated and able to work in a flexible work environment. As Borealis continues to grow, the successful applicant will be able to grow with the company. The selected candidate will be responsible for working with the corporate operations group and helping the Whitehorse branch team members. Customer service, both internal and external, is emphasized here, as it is a key role for Borealis across our corporate and branch offices.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide operations and administrative support to the field team and local branch office (Dispatch, Safety, Compliance, ERP support, Projects)
- Facilitate client requests and customer management within our ERP software.
- Assist in HSE functions, including meetings, site visits/audits, and critical task observations.
- Maintain safety, inspections, maintenance and compliance records.
- Maintain accurate and organized records, both physical and electronic.
- Ensure compliance with record-keeping policies and procedures.
- Facilitate communication within the organization and with external partners.
- Manage correspondence, emails, and phone calls.
- Assist in HR-related tasks such as onboarding, offboarding, and employee record maintenance.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies and procedures.
- Manage scheduling of bulk and service with an eye on efficiency and customer service (Dispatch).
- Assist in scheduling of inbound supply & logistics
- On-call coverage required
- Other duties as required
Qualifications
- Working knowledge of the propane industry and/or previous dispatch experience preferred
- Safety, compliance and logistics experience
- Ability to manage competing priorities, tight deadlines, and changing conditions
- Communication and coordination skills required
- Administration experience
- Attention to detail and organizational skills are required
- Friendly and outgoing
Education/Experience Requirements
- High school Degree
- University or college degree in business administration preferred
Job Type
- Full-time work from our branch location in Whitehorse, Yukon. May require some field work (<10%)
