Overview
Bailiwick is currently seeking a Disposition Technician to contribute to our ongoing success and growth.
The Disposition Technician will be responsible for taking equipment returned from the field and preparing it (based on customer/project instructions) for proper disposition (inventory, dispose, ship, etc.). This position will be involved in data entry for status and reporting information regarding equipment inventory, cleaning/restoring equipment for customer for possible redeployment, preparing equipment for recycling or proper disposal, or other activities as directed by customer. This individual will work closely with the Project Management, Configuration and Warehouse Teams to ensure project goals are met.
Your Impact
The essential functions of this position include:
- Follow detailed specifications for unpacking, cleaning/restoring, recycling or proper disposal of customer equipment returned to Bailiwick following installation of new equipment;
- Box and label equipment as needed according to customer requests;
- Complete customer inventory check-off lists to ensure 100% accuracy of returned devices and shipments;
- Track and record inventory returned to be decommissioned;
- Assist with data management involving disposition status, schedules and project deliverables;
- Assist with the daily maintenance, clean-up and organization of the Disposition Center;
- When disposition activities are caught up, assist with the Configuration Team as needed;
- Communicate with Project, Configuration and Warehouse teams in order to thoroughly understand and fulfill the customer requests and keep others updated on status of tasks;
- Establish and maintain positive working relationships with others
Qualifications
- High School diploma required; Two-year college or technical degree or equivalent related work experience preferred
- Minimum 1 to 2 years related experience
- Physically able to lift PCs, servers, peripherals and network equipment (up to 75 lbs.)
- Basic PC troubleshooting skills and knowledge of various Microsoft operating systems
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite tools
- Ability to communicate effectively across multiple departments
- Ability to accurately track, troubleshoot and problem solve
- Enthusiastic with exceptional organizational skills and ability to multi-task
- Accuracy in regard to data entry and tracking of inventory equipment
- Ability to manage one's own time effectively (self-starter)
- Prior experience or familiarity with ERP software applications
- Any related certifications a plus
- Experience related to IT deployment initiatives, remodel/construction, physical layer or other related field a plus
Position Specifics
The base salary range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be $20.50 hourly; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including commissions and discretionary bonuses, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
