Donor Engagement Gig (Gigs)
Gigs Introduction:
Working on an internal gig presents a myriad of benefits that can enrich both your professional and personal growth. Collaborating with others offers opportunities to develop new skills, expand your knowledge base, and build lasting relationships with colleagues across different departments. Working on internal gigs allows you to contribute directly to the organization's goals, fostering a sense of ownership and pride in your work. Additionally, being part of an internal gig provides exposure to diverse perspectives and innovative ideas, enhancing your communication, collaboration, project management, problem-solving abilities, and creativity. Gigs are ONLY available to GYE employees.
Project Overview:
This gig offers an opportunity to support Generation's Partnerships team across three connected areas: donor engagement KPI analysis, volunteering program support, and broader donor communications engagement. You will begin by supporting Q2 donor engagement data collection, before transitioning into volunteering-focused work. Support on communications and donor insights will be integrated as capacity allows. This is a broad and flexible opportunity, well suited to candidates from a range of teams and backgrounds.
Learning Opportunities in This Gig:
- Donor Engagement KPIs Learn how we approach donor engagement at GYE. Renewals currently make up ~80% of GYE’s annual budget, and donor engagement is an important factor driving these renewals. Through this gig, you will get hands-on experience on how we measure donor engagement, while contributing ideas to strengthen KPI tracking processes and systems over time.
- Volunteering Program Support : Currently, ~40-50% of our global donors volunteer with Generation. This not only supports our learners and teams, but is also an important driver for donor engagement. We are currently establishing a global survey to better track volunteer feedback and experience. In this gig, you will support the roll-out of this survey, while also helping identify and manage new volunteering opportunities with our global and country teams.
- Communications & Donor Intelligence (capacity-permitting): Explore how donor visibility opportunities are identified, including monitoring partner mentions and organizing funder-related news for internal use.
