Reporting to the Director of Major & Planned Gifts, the Donor Relations Specialist is responsible for successfully developing and overseeing implementation of a creative and strategic donor relations plan that enriches relationships between donors and hospital. The primary objectives of this position are to identify and enhance donor relations initiatives, especially for major and planned gift donors; steward key stakeholders; create meaningful donor communications, coordinate grateful family interactions and manage donor recognition programs. This position will support major gift initiatives, capital campaigns and planned giving program for Dayton Children's. This role will also require a great deal of collaboration with broader development team, marketing and other internal constituents.Department Specific Job Details:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or related field (required)
Experience:
2-4 years of event planning, fundraising, grant writing, donor relations or marketing and communications experience (required)
Experience managing communications with donors (preferred)
Project management and collaboration with multiple departments (preferred)
Being able to communicate interdepartmentally
Managing multiple projects at once
