We are currently seeking a DSP Firmware Engineer to join our dynamic team in Zagreb, Croatia!
As a member of Vertiv's Single Phase UPS team in Zagreb, you will be a part of a team of competent and collaborative colleagues, working on innovative projects in a stimulating workplace, where you will be able to develop your skills and expertise.
You will help us to ensure that our products meet high design, development, and production quality, drive the development and implementation of code for embedded devices and power converters.
Be involved in overall software development cycle, including initial specifications and architecture design. Collaborate with power electronics, hardware and test engineers to develop innovative solutions for UPS.
What kind of work will you be doing?
- Software development and implementation
- Delivery of C/C++ code for embedded real-time computing systems
- Software architecture design
- DSP algorithm design for power converters based on GaN, SiC and Si technologies
- Definition and realization of complex technological and innovative projects
- Participation in the maintenance of existing products, including diagnosis and troubleshooting
- Collaboration with hardware and test engineers on the implementation and testing of new devices
- Code optimization
- Responsibility for revision control and documentation (Git)
- Design reviews
- Ensuring software quality and performance according to project requirements
- Creation of test specifications
- Software testing, examination and validation
- Experience in the design of FPGA algorithms for power converters is an advantage
Qualifications:
- Degree in electrical engineering, computer science, computer engineering
- Minimum 3 years of experience
- Fluency in software fundamentals including software design and maintainability
- Strong programming skills in C/C++, knowledge of Code Composer Studio development environment
- Knowledge of control theory and digital signal processing
- Having a good mathematical foundation
- Integration, problem solving and debugging skills
- Ability to collaborate and communicate complex technical concepts
- Experience in developing UPS and power converters is preferred
- Knowledge of working in the Vivado software tool is an advantage
- English minimum B2 level
