DSP Supervisor

DIRECT SUPPORT PROFESSIONAL SUPERVISOR


SAW, Inc. is seeking a compassionate, organized, and motivated Direct Support Professional (DSP) Supervisor to oversee services and supports for adults with developmental disabilities. This leadership position provides direct supervision to DSP staff while helping individuals achieve greater independence, community inclusion, vocational success, and personal growth.

POSITION SUMMARY

The DSP Supervisor coordinates and oversees services for individuals participating in an adult day program. This position provides leadership, training, and supervision to Direct Support Professionals while ensuring compliance with Individual Plans (IPs), agency policies, and applicable state regulations.


The DSP Supervisor serves as a liaison between individuals, families, caregivers, Support Administrators, and SAW staff to ensure high-quality services and positive outcomes.


Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise, coach, and support Direct Support Professionals.
  • Coordinate and monitor Individual Plans (IPs) and ensure accurate documentation.
  • Provide guidance and support to individuals in vocational, social, and community settings.
  • Train staff on program implementation, behavior support strategies, and agency procedures.
  • Complete staff evaluations and provide ongoing performance feedback.
  • Coordinate team meetings and collaborate with families, guardians, Support Administrators, and other stakeholders.
  • Administer medications and delegated nursing tasks as necessary.
  • Assist with staffing coordination, program operations, and regulatory compliance.
  • Provide crisis intervention and support as needed.
  • Perform direct support duties when necessary.


Qualifications

  • Three (3) years of experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities.
  • One (1) year of supervisory experience.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred



Required

  • Valid Ohio driver's license with acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain required State of Ohio certifications.
  • CPR and First Aid certification (or ability to obtain).
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, assist with individual supports, stand and walk for extended periods, and transport individuals as needed.

Hours of Work:


7:15 a.m. - 3:00 p.m., Monday - Friday
