Key Responsibilities
Install GI ducts: Galvanized iron ducts for HVAC systems.
Install PU ducts: Polyurethane ducts for insulation and lightweight applications.
Fit fire-rated boards: Ensures compliance with fire safety regulations.
Install fans and grilles: Supports air distribution and ventilation.
Install flexible ducts: Used for connecting air outlets in tight spaces.
Assist supervisors in ACMV installation and site coordination.
Follow safety protocols and ensure compliance with local building codes.
Skills & Requirements
Technical knowledge of HVAC/ACMV systems.
Ability to read construction drawings and follow specifications.
Physical stamina for lifting, cutting, and assembling ducts.
Basic troubleshooting skills for airflow or installation issues.
Teamwork and communication with site supervisors and engineers.
Risks & Considerations
Safety hazards: Sharp sheet metal, heavy lifting, and working at heights.
Regulatory compliance: Must follow Singapore’s Building and Construction Authority (BCA) standards.
Work environment: Often outdoors or in partially completed buildings, requiring protective gear.
