Duty Manager

Job Description:

Are you a natural hospitality leader who thrives in the energy of an evening shift? We’re looking for a Duty Manager to spearhead our PM operations (primarily 3:00 pm – 11:30 pm) at Level Hotels & Furnished Suites — a premium extended-stay brand that sets the standard for guest and resident experience in Vancouver. This position will be reporting to and supporting the Regional Front Office Manager, you’ll be the senior presence on shift: the person guests and residents trust, the resource your team turns to, and the calm voice of resolution when things get complex. This isn’t a back-office role — it’s front and centre, where hospitality happens.

What You Will Do:

Own the PM Shift

  • Lead and guide the Guest Services team through each shift, fostering a coaching culture that supports growth and confidence

  • Serve as the primary escalation point for any guest or resident concerns that require management-level attention and resolution

  • Ensure the front of house and back of house remain polished, organized, and guest-ready at all times

Deliver Exceptional Experiences

  • Handle all guest and resident interactions with warmth, professionalism, and genuine care — turning moments into memories and challenges into solutions

  • Respond to requests accurately and promptly, drawing on local knowledge and Level practices to make meaningful recommendations

  • Review arrivals, departures, and VIP profiles including room allocations, amenities, and special requests to ensure nothing is misse

Support Your Team

  • Act as an on-shift resource and mentor for Guest Services Agents — offering real-time guidance, encouragement, and coaching to strengthen skills and confidence

  • Support agents in completing their duties and step in where needed to keep service seamless

  • Collaborate closely with the Guest Services Manager, keeping them informed and aligned

Keep Things Running Smoothly

  • Monitor and update guest and resident accounts accurately

  • Communicate relevant property events, maintenance updates, and service changes to guests and residents

  • Uphold and model all departmental policies, procedures, and service standards

What You Bring:

  • 5 years of progressive experience in hotel or hospitality operations

  • Previous experience supervising or managing a team (an asset)

  • A degree or diploma in Hospitality Management, Hotel Management, or Business Administration (an asset)

  • Proven ability to lead a shift, juggle competing priorities, and stay composed under pressure

  • A genuine talent for connecting with people — guests, residents, and teammates alike

  • Sharp problem-solving instincts and the initiative to act decisively in the moment

  • Familiarity with hotel systems, front office procedures, and service standards

  • Availability to work evenings, including weekend

Salary Range:

$56,000 - $60,000 CAD Per Year
