E-commerce & Brand Licensing Consultant

Your New Role

Are you an entrepreneurial e-commerce specialist who enjoys building things from the ground up? We are looking for an experienced consultant to take full ownership of establishing and scaling online marketplace operations for a global industrial company with a portfolio of well-known brands.

This is a unique opportunity for someone who thrives in a standalone role where strategy and execution go hand in hand. You will be responsible for creating a structured and scalable marketplace setup across the US, Europe and potentially additional markets, while ensuring consistent and controlled brand experience.

You will own the entire process - from assessing the current online landscape and defining the right marketplace strategy to hands-on implementation and long-term governance. Working closely with stakeholders across Brand, Legal, Finance, IT and Digital, you will establish a sustainable operating model that enables external partners to sell within a controlled brand environment.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Defining the marketplace strategy and online go-to-market setup

  • Setting up and managing marketplace presence, with a strong focus on Amazon

  • Building and maintaining branded marketplace stores and selected brand websites

  • Establishing governance, access management and operational processes

  • Coordinating cross-functional stakeholders and enabling external partners

  • Creating documentation and ensuring a smooth handover for ongoing operations

Scope of employment: Full-time, 100% Type of contract: Fixed-term employment as a consultant via JobBusters. To succeed in this role, you will need:
  • Degree in Business, Marketing, E-commerce, IT or equivalent experience

  • 5-10 years of hands-on experience in e-commerce, marketplaces or brand licensing

  • Extensive marketplace experience, ideally including Amazon, with US marketplace experience considered a strong advantage

  • Entrepreneurial or startup background and enjoys working independently with limited resources

  • Equally comfortable defining strategy and executing it hands-on

  • Has experience leading cross-functional initiatives and collaborating with multiple stakeholders
