Are you passionate about giving the youngest members of our community the best possible start in life? Do you believe that early intervention and social-emotional support can change a child's trajectory?
At Prairie View, we are looking for a dedicated Early Childhood Case Manager to join our team in McPherson. In this role, you won’t just be managing a caseload—you’ll be a champion for children ages 0–5 and their families, helping them navigate challenges and celebrate growth.
Why You’ll Love This Role
As an Early Childhood Case Manager, you are a vital link between therapeutic goals and real-world success. You will:
-
Be a Mentor & Coach: Work directly with children in small groups or home settings to teach foundational skills like emotional regulation and problem-solving.
-
Empower Families: Partner with caregivers to provide practical strategies, parenting skills, and a much-needed support system.
-
Be the Bridge: Connect families to essential community resources and advocate for their rights and needs.
-
Grow Professionally: Gain access to trauma-informed care training, evidence-based modalities, and continuous professional development.
What You’ll Do
-
Clinical Support: Deliver developmentally appropriate services aligned with treatment plans to promote healthy social-emotional growth.
-
Observation & Assessment: Monitor child behavior to inform the treatment team and intervene with co-regulation techniques when a child is struggling.
-
Advocacy: Highlight family strengths and provide crisis intervention when necessary.
-
Collaboration: Work alongside a team of clinicians and community partners to ensure a holistic approach to care.
-
Community Connection: Help families integrate into their community and access the tools they need to thrive.
Who We Are Looking For
We need a compassionate, flexible, and observant professional who understands that "atypical" behavior is often a call for help.
The Essentials:
-
Education: Bachelor’s degree in a Behavioral Health Science field (or equivalent).
-
Experience: Demonstrated skills in case management.
-
Communication: Strong listening and writing skills are a must for assessment and documentation.
-
Physical Ability: Must be able to engage with children at their level (bending, squatting, kneeling) and pass a physical restraining program.
-
Requirements: Must be at least 20 years old, possess a valid KS Driver’s License, and pass comprehensive background checks (KBI, DCF, etc.).
The "Extras" We Value:
-
Experience with trauma-informed care or emotional regulation techniques.
-
A background in therapeutic, educational, or childcare settings with preschoolers.
-
The ability to lead group activities that foster peer interaction and cooperation.
Commitment to Excellence
This role requires a high level of organization and a commitment to quality. You’ll manage about 80 encounters per month and maintain timely documentation (90% of notes within 48 hours). In return, you’ll be part of a supportive environment that values your input in treatment planning and team building.
