EC&I Engineer

๐Ÿš€ This is a hybrid role with regular site presence in Bristol, so candidates must be within commutable distance or open to supported relocation.

You will support EC&I cabling activities across design and construction interfaces on a major nuclear project.

๐Ÿ”Œ Develop and review electrical cabling layouts across complex plant areas
๐Ÿ“ Produce and validate cable routing solutions aligned with installation constraints
๐Ÿ“Š Perform cable sizing calculations for power, control, and instrumentation systems
๐Ÿงญ Coordinate cable routes with mechanical, civil, and layout engineering teams
๐Ÿ“ Ensure cabling designs meet project standards, codes, and specifications
๐Ÿ—๏ธ Support constructability reviews and resolve site-driven cabling issues
๐Ÿ” Review contractor cabling deliverables for technical compliance and quality
๐Ÿ”„ Manage design updates and technical queries through controlled change processes

Nuclear experience is not essential, but is of course welcome. If you have worked within a highly regulated environment, your skills and approach are highly transferable and of strong interest to us.

๐ŸŽ“ Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline
โšก Experience working in an EC&I or electrical engineering role
๐Ÿงต Strong exposure to cabling layout, routing, or cable data management
๐Ÿ“ Experience producing structured engineering documentation and deliverables
๐Ÿ—๏ธ Understanding of design to construction information flow
๐Ÿ”„ Experience managing design changes, interfaces, or open points
๐Ÿ“Š Comfortable producing reports, trackers, and engineering indicators
๐Ÿงฉ Experience working within regulated or quality-driven environments
