Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Echo Technician to join our growing team. In this role, you will perform echocardiograms to assess cardiac structure and function for patients in skilled nursing and long-term care facilities. This position plays a critical role in supporting accurate diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular conditions in a geriatric population.

Responsibilities

  • Perform transthoracic echocardiograms (TTE) in accordance with established protocols
  • Obtain high-quality diagnostic images for interpretation by cardiology providers
  • Prepare patients for procedures and ensure comfort and safety throughout testing
  • Identify and document anatomical and functional cardiac findings
  • Accurately document procedures and upload studies to designated systems
  • Maintain and troubleshoot ultrasound equipment as needed
  • Adhere to infection control, HIPAA, and facility policies
  • Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and nursing staff
  • Travel to skilled nursing and long-term care facilities as assigned

Requirements

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or related field
  • Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or equivalent certification required
  • Prior experience performing echocardiograms required
  • Experience in skilled nursing or long-term care settings preferred
  • Strong technical and diagnostic skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Comfortable working with the geriatric population
  • Ability to travel as needed
