EHS Coordinator

POSITION SUMMARY: The Compliance Department’s EHS Coordinator supports the SGP/EHS Compliance Manager by managing schedules, maintaining regulatory documentation, and scheduling internal compliance activities. This role ensures accurate recordkeeping, tracks permits and reporting deadlines, supports audits and inspections. The Coordinator assists with training logistics, document control, and corrective action follow-up to maintain regulatory readiness. By providing structured administrative and operational support, the position helps sustain compliance with federal, state, and local requirements while promoting an organized and proactive compliance culture.

POSITION COMPETENCIES: Responsibilities associated with each position are a combination of organization-wide and department-specific standards. Competencies are evaluated initially during each employee's Introductory Period using the onboarding plan and manager observations. Thereafter, competencies are assessed on an ongoing basis and formally documented annually using the Annual Performance Appraisal Form. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Maintain the OSHA 300/300a injury logs & file the necessary reports.
  • Schedule EHS training sessions and maintain accurate training records
  • Maintain and control compliance documentation, permits, policies, invoicing, and regulatory records.
  • Manage EHS department calendars, compliance milestones, SGP Impact Tracker, and recurring tasks
  • Participate in weekly Safety Walk-Through inspections for the 6100, 4750 and 7100 locations.
  • Update EHS documents in the SGP repository and Impact Tracker to reflect ongoing monitoring and remediation as well as continuous improvement as directed by the SGP/EHS Compliance Manager.
  • Support incident documentation, corrective action tracking, and follow-up activities
  • Prepare reports, dashboards, and compliance summaries for departmental review.
  • Maintain Safety Data Sheet (SDS) management systems and document repositories.
  • Support ongoing continuous improvement projects related to quality and safety.
  • Participate in and support US Compliance visits. Maintain all documentation associated with the process.
  • Positive approach to process documentation, safety and emergency response planning and meetings.
  • Actively participates in SGP certification audits associated with all facilities.
  • Schedule all waste recycling-related services for the Atlanta-based facilities.
  • Serve as the overall backup when the SGP/EHS Compliance Manager is not present.
